The young writer of "Beach Ball" Jim McGuinn later founded the California harmony rock group the Byrds, where he was also known as Roger McGuinn. The Bee Gees were uncredited as backup singers they also do some talking in the background to build up the party atmosphere on ‘Beach Ball’. Don't have to download this as I have the US promotional copy on Atlantic of all labels, which remarkable for the fact that a) He's Australian, b) it was pop, and most importantly c) he was white :-)
