Post 26 - The Silver Studs - Why Do Fools Fall In Love

The Silver Studs started as a three-piece band in Brisbane In 1975. The original line up featured Lance Reynolds, Gino Latorre and Keith Reed. The Studs became Countdown regulars and had a further hit with “Dance With A Dolly”. By 1977 disco had well and truly taken the world by storm and the Silver Studs now known as simply the Studs, released a disco song called “Funky Feet”. This was to be their last major chart entry. Despite international interest in the U.S. and the U.K., The Studs faded off the scene. Lance went into the business side to manage Air Supply and took them to America. He also formed Bigtime Records and discovered and launched the careers of Hoodoo Gurus and Jon Stevens. He became a film producer and has produced six feature films including Hugh Jackman's first film “Paperback Hero”, as well as producing for television Jamie Oliver, the English Chef. For you to download is yet another B side “Why Do Fools Fall In Love” (6037 083) of their 1976 single “Dance With A Dolly”.

Lance Reynolds was my brother's primary school teacher at Geebung Primary in the early 70's. All the kids loved him. He was a real joker.
