Post 28 - The Big Boys - Built For Comfort
The Big Boys are Ricky May & Jonathan Coleman who in 1983 recorded the single “Built For Comfort (I Ain’t Built For Speed) for WEA. Ricky May was a Maori jazz / pop vocalist from Onehunga, Auckland. Ricky moved to Australia in 1962 and began a very successful cabaret career. Jonathan Coleman (born 29 February 1956 in Hackney, London, England), is an Australian television personality, radio announcer and writer/ performer of comedy. Sadly Ricky May died on 1st June 1988 from a heart attack. For you to download is “Built For Comfort” (7 – 259903)

Thanks for this gem Ozzie. I was priveliged enough to be his sound engineer back in the eighties when he came over he to Perth to perform at a Caberet night club called La Tenda in Victoria Park. La Tenda means big top (THE TENT).
He was such a gentle giant & i remember having dinner with him at my sisters place & he actually broke the toilet seat in pieces. What a fantastic man Ricky May was & is. Thanks for this download. Peter
