Dave Allenby was a popular Sydney TV and club performer of the late '60s and early '70s. Allenby also had a brief burst of pop success in 1971 when he released a single on the independent Chart label "Sweet Gingerbread Man" b/w "Who Wrote That Song" (CHK-4325). The B side was written and produced by Pat Aulton a noted Australian record producer, musician, arranger and songwriter. Aulton died in mid February 2009, aged in his early seventies.
