Post 135 - David Holmes - Denver Idleman / Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You
David Holmes is a songwriter, blessed with a baritone voice. His songs are all about Melbourne, the city that he has called home for most of his life, although he has travelled and performed interstate and overseas for many years. From his beginnings as 1970s Best New Comer on Bandstand, David led a very public life. After his early critical acclaim for his song "Denver Idle Man” which went to #8 on the Melbourne charts, he disappeared from the public eye. But we hadn't seen the last of him. After 10 years out of the lime light he was asked to join Four Chairs No Waiting, a group that later evolved into The Scared Weird Little Guys. Here to download is his single for Fable produced by John Farrar in 1971 "Denver Idleman" b/w "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You" (FB-048)
