Graeme “Shirley” Strachan’s second solo single was a cover of Smokey Robinson’s “Tracks Of My Tears” went to #18 in July 1977. In June 1978 he left Skyhooks but it wasn’t officially announced until January 1979. Shirley went on to enjoy a successful career in radio and television. Sadly he was killed in an air crash on 29 August 2001 while he was learning to fly a helicopter. He crashed NW of Brisbane. Here for you to download is yet another B-Side, “Missing You” (K-6820).
